Yes, in the resource library we publish a series of guides aimed at different profiles, including journalists who do not usually cover scientific information. There are guides on how to read a scientific article, what types of research exist, the peer review mechanism of journals, the embargo system, and the sources of scientific journalism, among others. If you think any of them are missing, don't hesitate to write to us.

SMC Spain has its origins in the science news agency SINC, created by FECYT in 2008.
In 2021, SINC joined the COVID-19 Vaccine Media Hub, together with the international network of Science Media Centres. Inclusion in this hub promoted the creation of an SMC in Spain that was to expand the toolkit for dealing with science in the media.
